Our bootcamp begins by helping students build a strong networking and OS foundation. It emphasizes design, implementation, and administration of IP networks. Students can become competent at entry level Linux systems administration, and are taught to deploy and manage common applications and services using Linux servers. They are taught many survival skills in programming and relational databases. They are encouraged to develop an automation mindset and build skills to automate routine IT infrastructure deployment, configuration, and monitoring activities. They are also taught infrastructure virtualization across on-premises and cloud-based deployment scenario.
After the foundation phase students dive deeper into three critical competency areas - SysOps administration continuous monitoring and digital infrastructure automation. They are taught skills on cloud architecture, deployment patterns (IaaS, PaaS, FaaS) and provisioning cloud resources. They are taught to monitor the health of IT resources, configuring alerts, optimizing resource utilization and automating the deployment and administration of large fleets of IT resources.

Bootcamp Coverage - Competencies - Knowledge and Skill
This bootcamp is designed to build the core competencies i.e., entry level knowledge and skills to perform tasks for the cloud systems administrator job role. As part of the journey, they build the right attitude that sets them up for seamlessly transitioning to this role, as well as making them aware of some of the best practices that professionals are expected to adopt. The tough challenges that they encounter as part of the bootcamp and the capstone project help accelerate their experience. As part of our holistic approach, we help prepare students not just with technical competencies, but also the complementary engineering and behavioral competencies.
We emphasize, that successfully completing this bootcamp is not just about attending live sessions alone – it is also about following through and completing the hands-on assignments and projects. For an assignment to be considered complete, students must refactor their solution after getting it reviewed. Assignment completion is necessary to move forward.
